Hello, I'm Rita, founder of RITA AND THE RUGS. As an Austrian with Moroccan roots, I straddle two cultures—and that's precisely the foundation for everything we do here.
As a child, I often wondered why our walls were covered with carpets while my friends' houses had artwork in colorful frames. Who would have thought that these carpets would later become the beginning of a unique adventure?
Our collaboration is based on trust and respect. I'm excited to work with the local women and ensure their art is valued and fairly compensated. Together, we're creating a positive future for the women of the region.
